Meet Dr. Akshay Sanan
Dr. Sanan is thrilled to be joining the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation. Raised in the Boston suburbs, Dr. Sanan was accepted to the Boston University School of Medicine out of high school.
Dr. Sanan is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise and a keen interest in rhinoplasty, deep plane facelifts, deep neck lifts, deep plane lip lifts, browlifts, and buccal fat reduction surgeries. With a keen and discerning aesthetic, Dr. Sanan is also an expert in neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, RHA, Sculptra), and non-surgical treatments like radiofrequency microneedling and CO2 laser.
- Upon graduation from the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Sanan received the Dean Eleanor Tyler Award, given to the top graduate of the medical program.
- Dr. Sanan trained at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, ranked as a top 10 program in the country for head and neck surgery.
- Next, Dr. Sanan was the sole facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellow at Stanford University. During this time, he served as faculty at Stanford University and trained resident surgeons and medical students.
- For the past 4 years, Dr. Sanan practiced in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and developed a robust facial plastic surgery practice with an international clientele. His decision to come back to Boston was to be closer to his family and where his heart feels at home.
- Dr. Sanan is known for his meticulous nature and attention to detail and develops a personalized surgical patient for each of his patients. He is known for his warm bedside manner. Dr. Sanan is a two-time inductee of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
- Dr. Sanan loves to connect with his patients over his local upbringing and diverse background, and he provides his patients with the safest, most innovative, and personalized techniques available.
